This policy explains what information Rabt ("Rabt", "we", "us") collects when you use the Rabt app and this website, why, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it short and plain.

Who we share it with

We work with service providers that help us run Rabt. For example, they help us send sign-in codes, deliver notifications, host our servers, store encrypted photos and backups, connect calls, and provide GIF and sticker search. They may only use information to provide these services for us, and they can't read your chats, because your chats are end-to-end encrypted.

Other people see what you choose to share with them: your name and photo, your last seen if your settings allow it, and your lounge activity if you allow it. We may share information when the law requires it, or to protect people from harm. We review every request from authorities, and only share what the law requires. We can't share the content of your chats or backups, because we can't read them.

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or limit how we use your information, to take your information with you, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We'll answer requests within 30 days.

Why we're allowed to use it

Children

Rabt isn't for children under 13, or the minimum age in your country if it's higher. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Where information is stored

Our providers may store and process information in countries other than yours. When information moves between countries, we use safeguards required by law, such as standard contractual clauses. Your chats and backups are end-to-end encrypted wherever they're stored.

This website

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app for important changes.
